Adorned by the Moon

Arriving on the eighth day of the eighth month of this calendar year 2021, the New Moon in Leo gives a boost to magic ritual and intention inviting abundance, prosperity, ambition, money, fame, power, visibility and speed. If you desire any of this for your own life, prepare altars that support these themes and dress and/or adorn in garments, jewelry and accessory costume pieces that channel the energy of the future you and your life. Use this day as an excuse to play dress-up or dress up to play!

A quick note on the number 8:

In Astrology, the 8th House is the House of Scorpio, the sign following Libra (balance/imbalance, attachments—healthy attachments and loss of self, justice—creating peace and fairness) in the 7th.

In the 8th, we meet with themes of death, rebirth, transformation, taxes/taxing, other people’s resources, secrets, the underworld—and the heavens, and power struggles…all outcomes or results of those seventh House themes and journeying.

The 8th House presents us with experiences that test/develop/define/refine ideas of personal power. How are we giving away personal power? How are we reclaiming personal power?

In Numerology, the number 8 also offers us a landscape on which we learn how to navigate personal power, fear, obsession, desire, entitlement, worthiness and self-love — but will you? Will you lead from within or will you orient from the outside?

Keep these things in mind while practicing your unique blend of magic during the powerful New Moon.

What are the results you seek? How are others involved in or in relationship with these results? How does pride mix with in this recipe of power-ful magic? What does having “more” look like? What does a healthy ego feel like? Where is love needed? What is your relationship with power?

Now, onto the moon.

In style-astrology, the Moon represents how we feel comfort, protection and security in our wardrobe and adornments. The sign where the natal Moon resides often shows up in/as our home-uniform.

The Moon also influences emotions, sensitivities and the communication of feelings -- which very much takes place in the expression of style!

So this got me thinking...what if we could work with the energy of the moon's daily position to nurture personal style and creativity? What if the position of the Moon became a daily or monthly map for navigating and charting self-care, creative business and artistic project rituals and output? What if the Moon could simply be our outfit planner for the week?

In “Adorned by the Moon” (available to Divine Style Legacy participants) you will find a calendar of the Moon's daily position in the twelve signs of the Zodiac. You will also find a quick description of the Moon's expression in each of the signs followed by suggestions for areas of the body to care for and adorn when the Moon is in each sign.

May you use this calendar and mini stylebook to dress your life, person and business by the wisdom of the moon. Enjoy!
